A mathematician wrote an essay in which he explained that “limits” are the most common mathematical expressions, and he suggested that mathematicians should use them.

“We must never forget that limits are the easiest way to express a property of the world,” he wrote.

“I want us to think of limits as a way of thinking about things.

They are the first step toward solving the problem of infinity.”
